Holy Watchmen, we may get it, and batman tv series to boot!!
A new theory says that fox has the footage for the batman series, and Warner holds the trademarks, therefor we cant get a DVD release because Warner are blocking it. Much in the same way that Fox are holding the watchmen. Well I really hope that the theory is correct, because Adam west IS Batman, and yes a real joker too. Robin is unacceptable in any form however :-P
UPDATE This story bounced around a few blogs, but the story originated here, Apologies to Rich Johnston for the omission, And thanks to him for my first comment. He is now on my daily web crawl.

Watchmen,sequel, curses and Alan Moore
Loads of new on this one, so I'll give you the interesting bits.
Night Owl star Patrick Wilson has a clause in his contract that allows for a sequel/prequel.
Fox want to block the film, and hold some rights that may block Warner from releasing a watchmen movie. Trial set for January 6th 2009.
Alan Moore said to the LA Times someone in England may have cursed the movie. Alan Moore is a self proclaimed warlock. also said he would be" spitting venom all over it for months to come" He thinks it's a waste of $100 million (it cost a lot more).

Framelight Productions - One to watch
The Hollywood Reporter has reported (funnily enough) that start up Framlight Production are buying up comic options (and video games and toys) left, right and center with a nice co production deal, which should keep them faithful. Cash man Robert Robinson with Jr Producer Jeffrey Erb have already mentioned "Dr. Deth With Kip and Muffy", "Deadworld", "Sins of the Fallen" and "1001 Arabian Nights".

The Wasp Cast
Eva Longoria is cast as Janet Van Dyne, aka The Wasp in the Avengers movie according to Oh no they didn't. She is seen leaving Marvel HQ with a bunch of avengers comics. Marvel have done well with casting (I was pleased with Norton, despite my reservations). The Desperate Housewives star could also be in the ant-man movie if the rumors are true.

Eva Mendes, Ghost Rider 2 = Bad idea
Eva Mendes has tolled MTV that she doesn't think that ghost rider needs a sequel. Thing is there is a lot of scope for ghost rider story's, so is she just commenting on the quality? Either way, i cant see her singing up for it, Cage is keen though.

Kick Ass Filming Already!!
Matthew Vaughn has already started directing the adaptation of Mark Millar's Kick ass. The comic is only on its forth issue. It stars Nicolas Cage, so could be as good as Ghost Rider. Maybe marvel will consider a 1985 adaptation, or even old man logan.
